Positive: We came to stay at B&B Sixteen for our 7th wedding anniversary. We had the warmest of welcomes by our hosts, and a complimentary local beer on arrival. We sat down with them and they explained what was on in the city, as well as tips and advice on where to park and where to eat and buy things. This information helped ensure we made the most out of our stay. The room was spotlessly clean and well equipped, with modern amenities, such as smart TV, air conditioning, huge comfy bed, complimentary still and sparkling spring water and coffee machine. Despite being next to a busy road into the city we found it very quiet. We also had use of the communal area downstairs with a full size pool table and honesty fridge with a selection of cold beverages that you can pay for at the end of your stay. Parking wasn't an issue, there are bays you can use directly out the front of the property if they were available, and if not there is a large car park just across the lift bridge (100m from the property) which had ample space all the time and was free to use 24/7. There is also a supermarket a few hundred meters beyond this. They made it feel like we were staying with friends rather than just in a hotel, I've never been anywhere so welcoming. Their hospitality is truly exceptional and made our stay so much more memorable.
Negative: We loved everything about the property but as for the location, it is possible to walk to the city along the canal or the main street, however be prepared as it is a long way to go there and back (2 miles each way), and there are many many bikes and mopeds that share the canal path with you so be aware of that! We managed the walk the first day but decided to drive to the city after that which was easy enough to do. There are bus services that you can catch also. If you want to eat out at a restaurant there isn't much close by, it's much better to head to the city for this.
